Terms
Last updated October 28, 2026
The short version: try ctrlside free for 7 days, then subscribe if it earns its place on your Mac. Cancel whenever you like.
Who we are
ctrlside is made by Mehdi Benbrahim and sold by Prodd Labs ("we"). By installing or using ctrlside, you agree to these terms.
The free trial
ctrlside is free for 7 days from the first time it runs on your Mac. No card, no account. After the trial there are 2 more days, then ctrlside pauses until you subscribe. While paused, your agents keep working and ask you in their own windows, as if ctrlside weren't installed.
Your subscription
- Price. The founding price is $9 per month, plus any tax that applies where you live. It stays the same for as long as your subscription stays active, even if the price for new customers goes up later.
- Billing. Payments are handled by Stripe. Your subscription renews every month until you cancel.
- Cancelling. Cancel anytime from Manage Subscription… in the ctrlside menu, or ask us. You keep ctrlside until the end of the month you paid for. If you subscribe again later, the price for new customers at that time applies.
- Refunds. See our refund policy.
Your license
After paying, you get a license for your own use, on the Macs you use. Please don't share, sell or publish it. We may stop renewing a license that is shared publicly or used to get around paying.
What ctrlside does, and doesn't
ctrlside shows and controls agents that run in other apps, such as Claude Code and Codex. Those apps, and the AI models behind them, belong to their makers and have their own terms. ctrlside isn't made by, affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic or OpenAI. You are responsible for what you ask your agents to do and what you approve from ctrlside.
Updates
ctrlside updates itself, so you get fixes and new features as they ship. Updates are included in your subscription.
No warranty, limited liability
We work hard to make ctrlside reliable, but it is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the consumer laws of your country.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update this page and the date above, and tell subscribers before the change applies.
